Christine's musical education started at junior school and the church choir, from where she was offered classical training. She did this for 2 years before deciding that the style was too limiting, as she wanted to sing songs that lent themselves to personal interpretation.
Christine sang with a couple of local bands in Crouch End, Hornsey and South London, and mixed with a varied musical crowd. She really enjoyed singing but never pursued it as a career. After many years of wanting to perform again but never getting an opportunity, she decided to ease herself back in gently - performing at local Open Mic events in Hertford, before going on to run an event with Dave.
Christine has a voice which lends itself to most musical styles, but her preference is for bluesy songs that in her words 'you can really rip into.' Her musical influences range from Gary Moore, Mark King, Alison Moorer, Nina Simone, Dinah Washington through to The Beatles, Shelby Lynne, Joan Armatrading and Led Zeppelin.
